help with choosing prime lens!

Got myself in a right muddle/confused state!
Want to get a prime lens, and have narrowed the choice down to the following;

Canon EF 50mm f1.8
Canon EF 35mm f2.0
Canon EF 50mm f1.4
Sigma 30mm f1.4

I have roughly £100 in cash (in bank) so could afford the 1.8 outright, and i am willing (reluctantly) to either use my credit card, or get finance if i choose one of the other 3.
Will be using the lens for landscape, portrait mainly, just hobby work.
Is there much difference in dof in the 1.4-2.0?
My head says go for the 1.8 as i'm a bit short on cash, but in 6 months or so i'll have a lot more free money, so would probably wish i got something better, but does spending £300 more on the Sigma really give me that much more for the extra £££?
Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated!

or are there any more lenses i have missed out?
 
I'm assuming you're using a crop sensor (Canon xxxd or xxd) so the question you need to ask yourself is what focal length do you want? Rather than what aperture.

In reality, there isn't much difference between f1.4 and f1.8, but there is a big difference between 30mm and 50mm. I've got the 50mm 1.8 and it's a great piece of glass for the price, but I do find its a little too 'long' for some situations, especially indoors, where the 30mm would be better. When used outside however, to take photos of my kids in the park for example, I've found its excellent and some of my favourite shots have been taken with this lens.

Personally, I'd say go with the 50mm 1.8 and if you find you need something wider down the road, when you have more cash, then get the 30mm.

You're correct, it's for my 60D.
I was brought up on 35mm film, and i've been looking for a lens similar to my old f1.8 50mm.
I know i should be sensible and either get the Canon 1.8, or hang on 6 months and go for the Sigma 30mm!
Decisions, decisions!

On a crop sensor body such as the 60D the 30mm Sigma will be much more like your old 50mm lens.
 
You can pick up the 50 1.8 now, and then if you feel you need a wider lens, you can sell it for next to no loss (providing you buy second hand), and then put that money towards a wider lens.

Or more likely, keep the 50 1.8 and then just buy another, as it's nice to have a few options of fast primes.
