help with email and url

I have a blog and have a url which is forwarded to the blog.

I want to use an email address from the url but not forward it but host it.

How can I do this?

That would involve having your contact page hosted on a server which will involve incurring a hosting fee.

Why not just have a email contact form on your blog as here:

http://kontactr.com/

as this will cost you nothing.

I have web hosting elsewhere for a different thing, which also gives me unlimited hosting, but it was easier to have my photo blog elsewhere. (I kept getting things mixed up and stuff was appearing on the wrong sites!!) I really need it to be an email address tbh.

Hi Nattelie,

Do the people you have your domain name with allow email forwarding?

If they do you may want to have a look at Google Mail as they allow you to forward email to them and send email out as if it was coming from your domain/email address.

More info here

normally you get the email address free when you buy the domain name?

if so all you need to do is follow your providers instructions on setting up your mail client or access their web based email (like hotmail, googlemail etc)
