Help with Filters

Hi all,

I'm waiting on my Lumix FZ150 and have already spent a little bit of cash on some acessories (spare batteries, new carry bag, tripod etc) and I've been hearing quite a bit about filters.

Could somebody possibly point me in the right direction? I'm not looking for something really expensive, just cheap and cheerful since i'm an amateur

What are you trying to achieve? Filters are for creating specific effects.

Well I'm not too sure right now. I see some Polarize effects on some sets and it looked really effective. I'm just looking to experiment
