Anyone know how to obtain BB code on the new "improved" interface ( I assume its still beta testing looking at FAQ).. I want to share photos but it seems to offer me only many social networking sites that I can upload to directly.. but heck I haven't even heard of some of them and I just want the code so I can post on here... the more they improve they worse it gets INMO

thanks for your time

:bang:

If you hover over the button in the bottom left it will grow an arrow, click it and you'll get an option to opt out and go back to the current version which has all the features enabled.

which page im I supposed to be on? photostream no button nor when I click on individual pics.. maybe they should have mentioned this before going all gee whizz its better and brighter.. any chance of a link

When you look at an individual pic, do you have a small rectangle with an arrow coming out of it at the bottom right of your screen -( just under and to the right of the pic)?

What I get ..and I assume everyone else who has agreed to this.. is a very large pic..with various hopeless options and a cross to cancel and go back to picture stream.. no rectangle no arrow :( .. the good news is I can upload directly to PINTREST no probs

ah well.. I really do appreciate people time to answer you know

its nothing earth shattering I have to upload.. but to get opinion on this forum is priceless to me

Ah!
I'm still on the old 'new' system.

Do you not have a blue "Help and Feedback" button in the bottom left corner when you look at a photo?

If you are running the same version of Flickr as me and you click on an image in your photo stream, it should open it with various options to the lower right hand side.

Click on the little square as below, showing in red in this screenshot;
Note that you will need to pick the "Grab The HTML/BB code" option rather than "Share this via" or "Grab the link". I suspect you may have only tried the first one

I've actually hosted this screenshot on Photobucket, where you can copy the img code more directly.

From Flickr, click on the code to highlight it in blue and paste directly into the text of your post like so;

The text should look like this, but with square brackets replacing the enveloping ones;

He's running the newer version of Flickr. This currently does not have all the sharing options available. As mentioned you can revert back to the version you have.

I'm on the new (new) Flickr, and I can grab the links as long as the images are displayed on my home "stream" (the page you see when you go to flickr.com) but as soon as you click on the picture you're boned.

So you might be able to work around the problem (without switching back to the old site, if you prefer the other facets of the redesign) if you have the user in your contacts list.

thank you all for help.. I finally discovered what Darren @ post number 3 was saying .. you have to click on a picture then FAQ then at last I actually noticed that as you are offered the option of opting out of the new photo " experience".. I have done so!

Thanks again
