Hi All New To this can any nice people give me any ideas on lens to use on a Canon 600d inside a Martial art Dojo to shoot action
throws ets
i had a G2 and a 20mm 1.7 but found it a bit slow
this is why I have just got a 600d no lens yet till i sell the old setup

Hi. Ive done this. Pick a venue with decent lighting. No lens will be much use in a grotty hall with half the lights broken. May be you didnt up the ISO enough? Ive used a 24-70 2.8 but thats expensive. A tripod might also be helpful.

ok now sold all my old gear can any one tell me any lens for
:bonk:
  • Martial art
  • Landscapes
  • walkabout
  • Portraits
I work in ICT in Schools so I dont have a great amount to pay with
I know this is a open pit for cash but just starting off

The Canon 50mm f/1.8 is highly recommended for portraits and general use to learn the ropes, not too expensive as well.

I just picked up the nifty fifty and it's great fun!!

Everyone should have this one in their bag.

Get the 50mm 1.4 for £250 ish its a better built lens.
