help with model numbers

Hi pls could you help me out with some modle numbers on the canon 550d,
i have been looking on ebay and saw one which say's Canon EOS Kiss X4
is this genuine 550d, Also which camera would you buy the canon 500d or 550d?

Canon (for some stupid reason) give different model names depending on which area it's being sold in. In America it's the "Rebel" in Japan it's the "Kiss" and in Europe we get the "XXXD". It's the same throughout the Canon line up

As to what to buy, depends how much you have/want to spend, and what you want to use it for? :shrug:
