Help with obscure tripod QR plate.

I have an old but sturdy unbranded tripod and in need of a new QR plate.

Anyone help at all? :shrug:

The fitting is 2 1/4 inces by 1 1/2 inches and only angled at the front and back of the base.

Looks like a generic cheapy to me. Probably be far easier to buy a new (better) head with a common QR system.

I think Hama might do one that fits. I'm pretty certain I have a monopod QR head of theirs that is a similar shape. Typically it doesn't match the QR plate for their tripod!

Hmmm, Im not sure, but I might have one of these. Its on a cheapy Argos tripod that I was given a fews years back. As far as I remember its stuffed in my spare room at home. Let me check, and ill get back to you.

Yes the tripod might be a cheapo but it's solid and has a nice movement.

I'd rather try and source a new plate than spend on a new head.

I have a Manfrotto and a Slik mono pod for my 60D but my 80mm spotting scope sits on this one at home.
