I have been setting up my new computer. I use outlook 2007 I exported the PST file and imported it in my new computer BUT It has not got the rules for the folder yet I have all the folders.
Also it has only got one e-mail account.
I have forgot my passwords for the other e-mails how can I get them from my old computer I thought they was all in the PST file.?

Morning Chaz,

To get your rules over you need to go the rules window in Outlook on the old computer, click the 'options' button at the top and then there's an option to export the rules. Then take that file onto the new computer, again go to the rules window, press the 'options' button and there's an option to import those rules.

As for the accounts and passwords - as far as I know you'll need to set those all up manually again - all the PST holds are the actual emails... :(

OK thanks will look later today as the weather is good will have to go out.

I did a reinstall of Outlook 2007 today too. I followed the advice that was posted on here a few days ago and used the Vista Migration tool. It's taken everything across (rules, emails, accounts etc). Best now to follow Nick T's advice.

For the passwords I've used a freeware utility called Mail PassView in the past. It can get passwords from Outlook and Outlook Express. Find it here:
