My GF has the following problem with her Canon Power Shot SX210 and I have been charged with finding the answer. Unfortunately it is outside of my knowledge area so I respectfully turn to you, my fellow TPers for guidance!
I have a new Canon Powershot SX210. I have taken over 1000 photos at
full quality and happily copied them over onto my laptop via the USB
cable.
I have a number of videos, some of which I have been able to copy
successfully and others try to copy but end up with no content on the
laptop. It seems that the 3 videos I have which are over 300 MB in
size do not copy successfully. I can see that the file size on the
card is 304MB (or 556MB or 776MB) but after I have copied the file
(there is no error), the file size on the laptop is 0 and the video
has not actually been copied.
Is there some limit that I am not aware of? Is there another way to
copy the files off that is more likely to work? I don't currently have
a memory card reader that works, otherwise would try that.
Thank you
