Hello peeps

I have my own website that i have built myself and im quite pleased with it (but please feel free to comment on it).

The one thing i want to be able to do is a sort of sister site where i can put photo albums of events and weddings, something that is maybe password protected.

At the moment im only putting them on my facebook page and then i have a select few for examples on my website.

I see lots of photographers have websites with albums containing all 500+ photos they have taken from the day, and wedding photographers offering an online album.

How do i go about doing this please??? :help:

You easiest option will be to get an account at one of the many photo hosting sites such as zenfolio, smugmug, etc. They can all be customised as you wish but the galleries, password protection, etc. is all handled for you.

How would i then link this to my other website so that they just click a link to take them there??

You can simply add a link to the menu you have on the left. With a bit of work to the theme on the gallery site you can make the two have the same look.

Most of these services offer a free trial so you could give it a go and see how you get on.

Hi Helen,

A free photo hosting site like photobox a london based company, gives you free space on their pro gallery site. Customers can view and purchase images from there and photobox do it all (print & Post) they charge you the cost of the prints and a 10% handling fee, BUT you can set your own prices for prints. I use photobox myself and have never had a problem with them and IMO the prints are first class. Another point if prints are ordered before 4PM they are delivered next day. You can also link your site to your Pro Gallery and vise versa. You can also open as many pro gallery's as you like so you could have one for weddings one for horseing events and so on.

If we could see what you have already we could give you better advice about what to add.
