Help!!

I have a D300 and a 16gig extreme card however the D300 is saying that the card cannot be used and may be damaged. i have formated the card using windows Xp and I can drop photos onto it.

But once i put it in my D300 it says it will not work I put a 4 gig in and that works fine any ideas????

I'd first try formatting the card in your camera, not on your PC.

Has it stopped working on the camera or never worked on the camera? Some cards are just incompatible with some cameras. Have you tried searching on google?

I cannot see a low level format on the D300

I think the Canon 5D mk1 had a problem with formatting 8Gb cards. You could format them in another camera and then it was happy. I wonder if its the same problem here.

Might be worth checking to see what the largest capacity card the camera can take. It may be that 8Gb is the max

The card has been working fine in the D300 and never had a problem till now
