Hi,

Been taking photos (well, snaps really) for a while and have decided to learn how to do it properly!

Going to start 'old school'

I've just bought (off ebay) an Olympus OM-1

I'm thinking if i do it all manual to start with its the best way to learn as you can't press a button for it to do it all for you!

(I've also got an Epson V200 that will scan negatives)

I'll be putting some work up on my website as soon as i have some decent ones (there are some from my holiday in Wales at the mo just before my Casio Exilim 'drowned' at the top of Snowdon!)

Cheers,

Gaz

Hi there Gaz, welcome.:)
There are some landscape shots with potential on your site.(y)

But the bedraggled robin is a darling.

thanks,

Got the robin with my girlfriends camera (mine was killed, it was very wet when we walked up snowdon, it was in a water prof pocket... problem was the pocket got water in it!)

Hi and welcome

Hiya and welcome, thought the camera in your avatar looked like an om. I'm looking to get an OM-2n myself in the future, so would be interested in how you find your OM-1 :)

Will do, I've got an Epson V200 scanner as well. Seems to good scans of negatives. Soon as i've got some stuff i'll post it for you

Also, I've getting some really good advice from a friend of mine. A lot of you will have seen his work. Have a look at the comercial section of his site http://www.barryjohnston.co.uk/
