Heron! & Water Movement.

I'm loving the composition. I think with a little more detail in the heron, it would be a cracker. Maybe try a little dodge to just lift the details a bit :shrug:

A fantastic image,especially in mono.
As everyone says the Heron's a bit dark.
Hope you don't mind I lightened him and this was how I did it.
The top one on the drop down on the left is Dodge (lightening) the other 2 darken and saturate.The arrows at the top alter the size ..amount and whether you want to work all over or on shadows/highlights.
