In terms of the composition it would have been nice to see a little more of the post so he wasn't stood so low in the frame but regardless - it ticks all the boxes for me.

Very nice shot and good detail. Saw three herons perched high on the top of a tree against the skyline yesterday at Burton. Big birds looked intimidating!
