Herron in flight and a poser!

I took these early morning last week, the heron flew into a soft light and i really liked the look of it!

And this little poser was more than happy to wait for me to take my photo!

Love your Heron shot. They always look like they're on a mission, even when just chilling. I think it's that eyeball, sort of 'if you've got gills, your mine - get over it.'
Watched one fishing one evening at Bough Beech. Position - Eyeball - Stab, over and over again. Never missed.

That is a lovely pose with the sparrow but the Heron clinches it as shot of the day I reckon as you say the light has caught it just right.
