Ok, so I'm about as new to this as new can get lol.

New to Photography, although I've held an interest for sooooooooooo long. Bought myself a Nikon D40 to learn with (good move or ?).

New to the forum (been looking around for a while, just not been brave enough to show my face).

There are some amazing photo's floating around on here which is precisely why I'm not addng one to my intro

Hoping to get some sound advice, and find out what all these settings are for

Looking forward to knowing what I'm doing.
