Just here to say hi to everyone. I am new on here, and hope to learn loads. I have just been bought an early Christmas present, a lovely Canon 400d with kit lens and a lovely 70-300 zoom lens - not sure what all the numbers mean yet, but hope to get to know in time!

I have been taking snaps for a while now with my trusty compact, but want to jump in a bit further. Please be kind to me, because all this SLR stuff is new, and I dont want to ask what you nice people all consider silly questions. If I do I am very sorry, but as I said I am just learning!
