Hi Everyone and Hello....

I'm new here and just acquired a Canon 450D my first DSLR....:D

Its helping me to escape and see things in a completely different way.

My question is regarding a remote trigger.

Should I go Wired OR Wireless ?

Any issues with response times when using wireless? are they reliable?
Do people own both?
Any recommendations (makes/models) of what I should go for?

Many Thanks All

First thing, welcome to TP! Secondly, what are you shooting that requires you use a remote trigger? Are we talking available light portraits, or wildlife, for example? If you give us an idea, then we'll be better able to help you! ;)

Hi Nifkin, thanks for the reply.

As I'm new and finding my feet, I am finding my self experimenting. The shots I take are at weird angles and different positions to try and get perculiar shots.

Looking at self portraits (not that I'm that good looking - photoshop will help that!).

Also, Landscape shots.....a variety really.

I'm not sure if wireless is reliable or if it miss's a beat? that seems the easiest option, just dont want to spend money on something unreliable.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks again.

You can pick these up for less than a fiver each, why not get both? The wireless is good if you are in front of the camera and the wired one for any other time and great for slow exposures. :)

OK cool.

I've seen some at varied prices. Any particular makes model? or just the cheapest I can find?

Any fiver\tenner I save goes to something else thats all.

Thanks Chilliz
