I shamelessly stole this idea from a photo I saw on Facebook during the holidays. I can't find it now to say that to the original photographer but if you see this thanks for the inspiration. This is two shots merged in photoshop. A miserable night in Glasgow but got a decent shot for my troubles.

Just my opinion, but I see the distortion as contributing to the dynamism of the image.
It emphasises the lines and angles associated with the vanishing point.
Colours are subtle, as are the reflections.
Just my £0.02 worth.

Not much option. It was bin in foreground along with traffic light. This is full frame 16mm, my widest lend and no crop. I can live with the distortion as it adds more diagonals and was was that or the pub goes.

Sometimes on a dark rainy miserable night in the city, the buildings do feel as though they are falling on top you! I think the converging verticals fit the bill perfectly in this shot, nicely done.

There is one obvious bit of traffic creating the trails but it was very quiet considering this is right in the centre of Glasgow.

Sort of reminds me of Harry Pooter for some reason - when he was on the night bus !!

I'm quite a fan of light trails in interesting surroundings like this, the one thing I did notice, the lights stop instead of running right through the shot, running through would have been perfect

Well spotted Phil. Another couple of seconds worth of exposure would have been better.to complete the trail.
