High contrast

Hi,

This is my first attempt at a high contrast PS edit. Please feel free to critique and comment and highlight any areas for improvement.

To me, the dark area of sea? is far too dark, and shouldn't be there. The photo has loads of noise and the castle looks fake and shopped in. Just doesn't work at all IMHO.

It has become very noisy, at least on my monitor, which I think spoils what you're trying to achieve with the high contrast..would it not be better in b/w?

Does not work for me, Robin. Not pleasant on the eye.

Agreed. Perhaps the first attempt was a little OTT, so will go back to the drawing board.
