Hi All
Im in the market for a high end compact originally i was looking at a 4/3rds system but after trying some i can't find one to fit in a pocket my shortlist are
Canon G12
Canon S95
Panasonic Lumix LX5
Olympus XZ-1
I would like to hear the views on these cameras from people who own or have tried them and i would appreciate some photos posted as well :thumbs:

Canon G12 is not really a fit in your pocket camera, and the LX5 is pretty chunky too (although both are very good). I have a S95 which does fit into jeans pockets etc... Very good compact although my only gripe would be I am used to a D300 and 'pro glass' so IQ will never be the same!
 
Im use to using Canon L spec glass but i need something that i can take with me when im in the city i know the G12 will fit in my jacket pocket just. The
G12's biggest downfall for me is the speed of the lens

I'm a big fan of the S90/95, truly pocketable with raw & full manual control. G12 has longer lens & hotshoe, but I prefer the pocketability of the S90.

At the moment it is my second choice i quite like the idea of the optional view
Finder on the Olympus and the Panasonic though.

Thanks that was really helpful :thumbs: i never gave flickr a thought. Trouble is it's put another camera on the list :D looking at the Samsung EX-1 as well
