We're in the High Force area in our motorhome while touring the East coast and Scotland i nOctober and I'm hoping to call in and take a few snaps of the falls.

Can anyone tell me what the carpark is like in terms of hight and length restrictions - our van is 24ft long and about 10ft high.

If there is a site nearby that you would recommend I'd love to hear about it.

Also, are there any particular vantage points I should aim for with the camera to snap the falls?

Thanks

Other than clambering over rocks to get a slightly different vantage point, you don't really have many options. As far as I know you can only view it from one side of the river.

As far as parking is concerned, I don't remember there being any height or length restrictions, but I was in my little car, so it's not something that would stick in my mind.

Not sure about other locations nearby, but I'm sure there are plenty. I went to see the falls alone.

from what i remember - last yea r- no height / length restrictions in the car park. Did coast £2 or £3 each though or something like that - and about a 10 min walk down to the bottom -- can also walk along the top and if you are agile and feeling adventerous - can climb over rocks to middle of the river and get some good shots............

Whilst you're there go to Low Force also.

Some great shots to be had although I've never shot there but I have "shot" it in a kayak.
