High Gain Wireless N USB Adapter

I have a couple of those in use with my desktops and they work grand. If you doing large file transfer over the network I prefer Gigabit ethernet, and it's just the internet you want it for, you'll find that a G rated usb device will suffice. N rated devices would work well if you are doing media streaming... it's hard to know what to recommend without knowing what you want them for.
 
If you will be doing wireless HD streaming then definitely go for N rated adapter
