My canon 1dmkIV is good in low light and high iso.. but is there anything better in the canon range? I am thinking a FF camera would/shoulD be better.. the 1dx I have been waiting for looks like a lonmg wait and and even longer wait to see if it works OK :(

Not looking for a better camera for what I do (sports) as I know there isn't one :) just better at low light and extreme bad light conditions..

5DIII looks shockingly good from some of the samples that I've seen.

The 5DIII does sounds excellent in that regard but would it hold up to the rigours Tony puts his gear through.

Also I imagine he would the grip for the extra battery length and weight balance with a 70-200 on.

And how water resistant is that grip I wonder - unless it was without the grip indoors.

Could always rent one I guess.

+1

6fps (plenty but for the fastest action), pro AF at least as good as 1DIV, what else are you looking for?

read the last line of my OP :) this would be theatre, dance and some indoor school stuff/sport

I see then for indoors then I still think it's worth renting a 5DIII to give it go.
