High Zoom Lens

Hi guys,
Im after a zoom lens and seen the folloing on ebay:

Its a 100mm-400mm zoom, and ive got a canon 40D.

Im after peoples opinion on whether this is a good price for this lens and whether the lens seems good itself.

Cheers for this, think i might stay clear of this one then. dont really need a 400mm but seemed a good price for one.

Had one years ago, perfectly acceptable but above 250mm you will wish it was on a 'pod. Smooth enough zoom action but the AF is slow, by the time it locks on to target the target has long gone. It's certainly not worth nigh on £150.
