If there was a chance to use a Hire studio near a Premier Inn for over night stay and a Main line Train station.

I have been thinking of this for the near future. And wondered the interest was there and a need fo such a studio.

It would be in Oxfordshire.

It would offer discount to certain memberships

It would have at least 8 sets.

It would be used for other togs to give training courses in most studio disaplins i.e: still life/product to glamour etc....

It would have a resident model list and stylist and make up/hair assistant list. ( the website would show a porfolio to these assistants and their work)
Whar sets would you like?:

Standard floor space for basic studio for fashion to table top product work and chroma key set.

Kitchen set

Bathroom set

Barn set

Fantasy? Egyptian & Roman set

Lounge set

What other sets and props ? Fans / Snow machine / Sand / etc.....

A:What sets would you like to see?

B:Would you like a Model/stylist/make up assistant directory?

C:What else would you like to see available?

just curious what members think and would you use it?

As I have many togs offer training courses and when it comes to it the numbers drop and it fades away.

To be honest its been done before but the cost of running such a venture is so so expensive.i have been into photography for near 30 years and have seen studios come and go.A real good one in Warrington was great but just not enough punters to make it a going concern plus models will let you down so often
Sorry to be so negitive but put your money elsewere if you need a studio hire a room in a hotel or hall,at least they wil pay for the heating

It would be an add on to the mini lab and the current business. Plus I would use it for commercial work. so it would be and extra... But it seems no one has any ideas or not interested.

I figured as much as a mate on here does courses and had loads of togs say 'I would love to a course' and as usual it never happened as most seem not to want to spend cash on learning more......

the models would be pro and not part time hobbists. i have never had a NO SHOW as I would never dream of using a starter or non pro model.

In life as everything... You get what you pay for.

Innovations? Used that few times and was great, On look out for another locally now but not many willing to hire out rather than shoot it for you.

Have you posted this in Talk People and Portraits? I had a quick look and couldn't see it - you might create more interest/gain more feedback there? Or even Talk Business to see what others with studios think/suggest? :)
