Im thinking about hiring a lens before buying.

So who is best to use

lensesforhire - no contest

Another vote for lensesforhire.
I've placed an order with them to hire a canon 17-55 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8 in April.
Good prices and flexibility.

Jacobs are good if you live near a shop, their weekend rates are very good. The main disadvantage is that you have to sort out your own insurance and give a full price deposit. Hired a 300 f2,8 & 500mm f4 recently to try them out.

Apparently Calumet are the same with great weekend rates but a hefty deposit is required.
Thats probably one of the benefits of lensesforhire - deposit is optional.

lensesforhire provide an excellent service. I've used them several times and been very impressed all round.

Fixation has an amazing reputation & prices vary depending on what you're looking to hire.

Thanks All

Looks like lens hire gets the vote, I'll check them out
