Heading should have read Train rather than Loco.Don't seem to be able to edit/change it like the rest of the text.

Taken at St Mary's Crossing,Chalford near Stroud yesterday morning. The first photo taken at 0830 en-route to Gloucester (from Swindon) where it made a quick turn around and I got it coming back at 0930 ..much better light. As seen in the fist photo it was foggy on top and I was shooting into the sun. It hadn't risen high enough to give light into the cutting, just the trackside on the left.

These trains will be running passenger services from October in our region but they are still on test runs,I was told they are weighted down by sacks of sand to replicate passenger weight.

For anyone interested here's what GWR are having.I think it's the 800/801 in GWR livery.Take a look at the list on the right-hand side. Richard Branson is having the Intercity High Speed AT300. I'd love to see the AT400. Shinkansen Bullety train here, which is at present in development. It won't be seen here in the UK though. I assume it will feature on the long flat runs you get in France ( to replace theTGV maybe ?)

Here are some photos of this location. The signal box is a listed building build in October 1903.

Cheers, Michael.

As mentioned in my response to your 60009 shot I'll see if I can get a shot of this one at that open location near Stroud.
