Hitech 85mm filter holder

What about the Hitech 85mm plastic holder? Is that different then the Cokin P? Planning to replace my holders for ones that can fit the hitech filters without that tight stiffness.

The metal one cost abit more but if the plastic version does the job then i can live with that until the next upgrade to Lee filters ....

save your money and get Hitech 100 system. I can't see much difference between the two manufacturers, in fact I prefer my hitech 0.9 reverse to all lee ones.

I'm the opposite. Had nothing but horrible colour casts with Hitech so I went with Lee and never looked back.

It's one of the most common things I get asked about too, "How do I get rid of this red colour in my shots" :)

could this be a filter-to-filter variation? I can't see any cast from mine
 
i will upgrade in the near future but atm i got a full set of 85mm hitech ND and grad but i want to replace the holder for a less tight one because i'm using cokin p holder.

If the hitech 85mm plastic holder will solve my tightness problem then spending £10 to buy a holder will get me going for a long time before i upgrade to Lee etc.

Possibly. I've tried a few different sets and they were all the same. As soon as the camera was pointed anywhere near the sun, bang, horrible colour cast.
