Hitech filters in lee filter holder

My 100x150 hitechs and Lee foundation kit arrived in the post this morning. Fit seems pretty damn good to me. Very secure.

Besides the fit issue, be aware that you'll probably be waiting. I ordered a handful of 100x150mm filters a week or so back, still no word on when they'll ship.

Apparently Lee and Hitech/Formatt are both running quite far behind on orders, and retail vendors are almost all sat on 'out of stock - waiting for new stock' on their NDs. Part of the problem with both of them hand-making their filters, I guess.

I ordered my grads from Teamwork on Thursday night and they were waiting on my desk at work this morning. Maybe worth giving them a go.

Kinda too late now, although I might order the reverse grad from them when I get around to it.

I'm not entirely sure why I rejected Teamwork in favour for formatt directly, probably because I'm buying my grads as a 'special grad set', and buying them individually would have cost about a tenner more (yeah, I'm tight, sorry). I suspect I probably also figured that since they didn't show stock status, they'd be out of stock like pretty much everyone else.
 
Formatt took 5 weeks to deliver mine recently.

It might we worth cancelling the order with them and ordering through Teamwork instead.

Of course, yours might not take 5 weeks.

Done, and while (slightly) more expensive, I'm getting more bang for the buck (£80 for soft kit + £38 for single hard gnd vs £98 for 2 soft + 1 hard, so 4 filters for £20 more than 3 filters, which is half the price of the 0.3 soft gnd if I ever decided I needed it).

And I threw in the rev gnd that I was planning on getting from them while I was at it.

Sod's law now dictates that teamwork will be out of stock and take >5 weeks :bonk:

Meh, even if they do it's still a gain. After placing the order with hitech, I was getting buyers remorse on the hitech filter holder, thinking I'd be better with Lee's holder even for hitech filters, since lee filters don't always fit in hitech holders (the slots on the hitech holder are 1.5mm deep, and the lee holder 2mm deep).

So I used the opportunity to switch holder brand.

Edit: Shipped already at 4pm, nice </jazzclub>
