Hullo everyone

Just registered - I look forward to chatting here and getting help!! I bought my first DSLR today (an Olympus E-510) and anticipate many happy and frustrating times ahead....

I live in West Sussex and have found that I look at the world very differently now that I take my camera with me everywhere (well, nearly everywhere). I particularly enjoy taking macros.

Welcome Polly. Good idea taking your camera everywhere. I decided to leave mine at home today as I was only going to the park with the kids. 100 yards down the road there was a massive fight between six or seven seagulls scrapping over a discarded sandwich about ten feet from where I stood with my gobsmacked children. Even I could have got some blinding shots out of that
