just a quickie.

its it possible to get my old pc connected to the internet wireless .?


if it is could you possible name a product so i can research it

it is all working bar the net.. just thought i would set it up in another room for the kids..

As long as you have a wireless router you can just fit a USB wirless dongle to the desktop.

setup access rights and off you go.

ill have a little look for a usb wireless dongle..

Get a Wireless card as phil recomended, USB dongles use a lot more CPU power and can be a bit carp for online games
 
I third the wireless card advice. Extremely straight forward. If the computer is out of warranty you can try and fit it yourself. I'm fairly sure there will be a spare PCI slot in your computer if you've not added anything since you bought it, you can tell because usually the empty slots at the back of the computer are covered with a metal panel. It'll also provide better and more reliable internet connections and speed.
 
:agree: card is better than dongle for reception
