No
anyone have any experience with this venue, there are probably rules that say no Pro cameras but what is there storage like.

Going up on the 19th of feb and making a day of the gig so going around london in the day then heading to the gig in the evening but I'll be taking my 5D etc...

what do you think the chances of them letting me carry it?

Their terms and conditions of entry state:

"No professional type audio/visual or any digital recording equipment will be allowed into the venue".

I think your SLR will fall foul of this. I know the forum pretty well from my professional life, and they're pretty strict with enforcing their other regulations relating to bottles / cans / drugs, etc.

Do you know what there holding facility's are like as i want to tog around london as well so wouldn't mind if i new it was safe.

You could try and come to an agreement if there are no 'safe' places for the venue to hold your kit. Let them look after you batteries for the camera, rendering it useless. That way they get to know that you are not taking pictures against the rules and you get to keep the kit easing your worries. This may well work, be nice and try spinning it in their favour. Note that they will only have to look after £50 quid of batteries and not 3 grand of camera kit.

I know that when i have been to Wembley Arena they have a special arrangement for cameras to be in a locked back office and you get a receipt in exchange. This may well have been a specific promoter that organised this though.

Best thing to do is contact them before hand explaining the situation, and asking what they can do.

It mgiht be worth suggesting the battery idea to them in that email as well.
