Holiday Lens

I'm off to the Austrian Tyrol in late June. I'm after some advice on lenses to take. I've got a Canon 40D so need something compatible with a crop sensor.

What range are you looking for?

(and cheaper too...). 24mm is going to be too long for some landscapes on a crop. We have the 15-85 on our 7D and it is the only lens we need for walkabout...

Ya 15-85mm is a great lens, and gives you wide enough for landscapes on a crop sensor. The price is more reasonable and the quality is amazing!
I have this lens and the quality I got from it is fantastic.

i got the 15-85 recently for the same reason and i am really pleased with it superb quality and feels quality as well
i had a tamron 17-50 but found i needed just a bit more length so sold it on
