just did not know which section to put this in so i will put it here, just wondering if anyone has been to puerto pollensa, majorca. We go on the 6th july and have never been to majorca we usually go to cyprus, so i am hoping for some great photo opportunities. (y)

it is a nice place, i was there over 20 years ago, there are some caves on island, lighthouse and marinas and harbours, lots of great photo ops, old villages, we stayed in ALCUDIA
have a great time

Polllensa is a lovely place, if you have a car or can go on a trip I'd recommend a day at valdemossa a gorgeous mountain village full of old stone building with stunning views http://www.mallorcafact.com/tours/Valdemosa/panorama/pan_full.htm
A trip to Palma is a good day out, the cathedral is stunning, and stop at the glass blowing workshop on the way if it's still there, it's like the arsenal in Mordor inside!

Thanks for the replys guys, a lot of people are saying it's very pretty and picturesque. Want to get some sunsets and sunrises, authentic buildings etc.

Just got back from puerto pollensa.
Places you might like to visit
1 Take the bus to formantor; it is best to get the first bus which is about 9 am before it gets busy.
2 Take bus to old pollensa
3 Visit Alcudia old town. I would avoid market days
4 Walk up the boquer valley 10 mins from town centre
5 Get bus to Palma, then to Soller old town where you can get a tram down to the port. From the port you can then get a bus to Valldermosa and from there back to Palma
6 From the bus stop in Puerto pollensa you can get a bus to luk monastery which waits there for one hour then takes you to La Colobra.
7 If you like birds and wildlife get the bus to Albufera nature reserve.
8 There are a few pics of the boquer valley on my flickr site
