Hello,

looking for some recommendations on a home printer for printing photos as a free one with studio sittings.

Any suggestions?

It depends what size you want to print.

I bought a secondhand epson R1800 from ebay for £40. It is an A3+ pigment printer and using Jettec ink and Ilford papers the results are stunning. Secondhand electronics can be a bit of a minefield so you take a little gamble i guess but there are some absolute bargains to be had!
 
The Pixma range have some fine units worth a look.
 
I have a Canon Pixma iX6550 - the results I've had with Ilford Galerie Pearl paper are pretty good...

is the jettec ink pigment?
 
yes mate, the jettec ink is pigment. I have a couple of prints on the wall in direct sunlight for well over a year, as good as the day i put them up where the Dye ones from my R300 next to it havent doe so well
