Homemade "Raynox"

Chopped up the guts of my broken nifty fifty and crafted something strikingly similar to the Raynox a lot of people on here use - really, really similar (apart from the yellow and green electrical tape holding it together)

Here's a set I did today to test it out, it attaches via a cokin adapter ring - so it screws right onto the lens.

Was good fun making - I could fill a house with these D.I.Y things that I try just to save going outside and just buying the damn thing.

Very satisfying, however, the sum of the value of the parts (screw adapters) probably exceeds the £8, I paid on FleBay for a set of four . . . ???? new, with pouch . . . :shrug:

Probably - but this was all old gear I've not used in a long time. So in essence it cost me £0.00.

But where's the fun and satisfaction in just clicking on a BUY IT NOW button? I'd much rather destroy something and then make something new out of the bits!

Nice one Jack I love a bit of tog related DIY, I would imagine the glass is a better quality than the ebay filters Looks like you get pretty good results too!
