As the hotshoe viewfinder for the Ricoh GRD is about £130, I thought I'd have a go at making one myself.
It doesn't have any glass in it, so it doesn't show a wide angle view, but it comes in useful if the sun's too bright for the lcd screen. It's quick to use and I can use it with both eyes open as I get the same perspective with both eyes.
I put it on my Nikon F50, and the angle of view is roughly equivalant to 80mm in 35mm format.
All I have to do now is work out how to make some glass!
