One at stopped in yesterday's evening light to shout at me and probably anything else it could see.

I like hooded crows (and all corvids). They have attitude that is exceeded only by that of herring gulls and great skuas.

Thanks Geof, though I think the support cable for the electricity post is in better focus than the bird. I wasn't careful enough when I took the shot - too concerned it was going to fly.

Excellent shots of the rook and jackdaw. The first is a good illustration that there is visual interest in a bird that is pretty much all one colour.
