Unlike Rooks and Jackdaws these guys are very wary of humans. Even when you try and entice them they like to keep a safe distance. Anyway here's one that let me get a bit closer than usual. Not totally happy with the pics but it's a start.
Thanks, John. We have good numbers of these magnificent birds but they still remain quite elusive and you very rarely see them without their mate along with them.
When trying to get those pics I noticed the other was on the ground feeding, with the featured one perched pretty much just above it. As soon as I got too close it gave a low squack and off they went. Keeping an eye out for one another is what they do very well.
