It's amazing how fast they grow up, Dad is still looking out for him, but Mum is sat on more eggs!!

Weird looking birds :D
Great shots Tara, though #1 looks a tad on the soft side so I will go with #2 (y)
 
Hoopoe`s are one of those birds I have always wanted to see.......luckily I got the chance last year in spain with some fantatsic views, that said I think these shots are great especially the 1st for me I like the more profile type of shot.
 
Thanks guys, I'm wondering if I forgot to sharpen them as they do both seem a tad soft here :shrug:, I'll go back to them and have a look when I've got time.
We had another family in the courtyard today, a parent and two youngsters being fed, but by the time I'd spotted them the landladys' gardener has turned up and then it was strimmer hell, and they bugged out :shake:

Seen one on two occasions in my neck of the woods. Despite their appearance they can be hard to see. They have been known to hide in rabbit burrows. Great to see a photo of this attractive species.
