Again, i feel i must admit a shameless steal.
I saw someone do a photo like this on here ages ago, and i loved it!
Admitted his was much better, i felt i should have ago.
These are all just shots to help me learn photoshopping and photography.

Good version though! fun ain't it. I think you've done real well there, the only thing I would mention in terms of critiscm is the lighting is a bit flat and too dark hence the motion blur on your hand from a slower shutter speed.
Also, I would have used a lower angle and shot upward, as if the hoover was towering over the viewer, and if you want to go to town on it, take the picture with the hoover in a dark cupboard, that will look pretty darn spookie to me.
You've spliced the images great, can't see the join at all!
A bit of off camera flash would definately add some dramatics! I can see you getting in to that.
Have you seen the strobist site before? Great lessons on cheap and effective lighting.
