hi all,i`m off the haven holiday park in hopton next week.
anyone know of anything worth visiting with my camera while i`m there?
thanks chris.

Been to Hopton a few times over the years and have been racking my brain all day about this and have come up with -
Yarmouth docks, Oulton Broad and thats really all I can think of in the area.

Take a trip to Southwold, Dunwich Heath, Aldeburgh.

thanks guys,ill look into them.

Not sure what you like to shoot, but Kessingland wild life park is fairly close. Minsmere is probably 20 miles away if you are into birds. I took a nice landscape from one of the hides with sizewll B lit up in the distance.

If you have kids take them to Pleasurewood Hills and/or Yarmouth Pleasure beach, but don't take yer kit.

Never been to Somerleyton Hall, but may be worth looking that up,as it's close by.

Donkeys years ago I stayed at Hopton for a weekend. TV reception was terrible because of interference froma radar installation nearby. Don't know if it still exists or is worth photographing though

thanks everyone,i`ll share what i find when i get back:wave:

southwold harbour..........over the ferry to walberswick...........

pint of Adnams and fish and chips at the Red Lion on the green in Southwold is a must (if the chippy on the harbour is closed)

depending on how far wanting to travel - kids / other half to consider...............

plenty of stuff on the broads, herringfleet mill can be nice at dawn or dusk..........

Personally i wouldn't bother with Africa Alive........ just my tuppence on it, Thrigby is ok - well it was when i last went about 8 years ago.............

clicky here........... for the tourism site.......

what are your interests (as in things to photograph) - not "drowning worms!"........... and i'll have a think on.
