Horses and Flash

Ok folks my apologies for any offence caused. I'm suitably chastised and I'll count to ten and breathe next time before firing off any abrupt posts.:bonk:

 I wish I could...lol

I wouldn't use flash during an event. With my limited experience of horses I have found them to be spooked by almost anything, a leaf blowing, a white dress, cars, and certainly a big flash. I suspect getting the rider chucked or the horse bolting isn't going to make you a popular bunny, unless you know the horse is fine with flash leave it off would be my advise.

ssshhh, dont say that, its not the advice thats wanted !! :cuckoo:

I think most of the responses have been helpful actually Jemma. You choose what tips to take on board or not as the case may be. But nowhere in your post did it give any info as to what experience you have with shooting horses and also I took it from your OP that you are not a horswoman - am i wrong ? Being a horsewoman myself (admittedly not a polo player) I gave you my opinion based on the type of reactions I deal with regularly, i.e. spooking at a leaf, having a fit at a different shade of grass, etc etc and a solution to a problem.

Have fun at the polo match

sorry missed the location..

+1

the gf's previous loan horse still thought logs were scarey after 17 years.

the gf would also give me a proper shoeing (no pun) if i started using flash around horses we didnt know could handle it.
