Has anyone any experience of the Horusbennu Tripods, especially the carbon ones. I've been looking round for a lighweight tripod that I can carry on my backpack whilst hiking. My current tripod weighs in at well over 2kg without head whereas the Horusbennu CT2540 looks to be around 1.2kg which is quite a saving, especially when it's on the outside of the rucksack. It's also capable of taking 6kg load which should hold my 7D with 100-400 attached.

So for £110 approx including delivery (but from overseas) it seems to be a good deal, especially for the features.

Cheers Rich. Thing is it's half the price of the Benro and about a 1/3 cheaper than the Manfortto 190 CX and it's lighter than both.

Anyone else had a look at them?

Well Steve if it makes you feel any better, I have also ordered the Horusbennu CT2540, weight being the main reason, I hope it's as good as it looks, I would have liked it to have had a foam grip on each leg but that's nothing that can't be put right, as you say it's wait and see!

I just signed up so I could ask!

I was also thinking of getting a "cheapy" for when I didn't want to lug around my main tripod (currently a huge heavy benbo)

Lighter and cheaper than the competition is very likely a bad buying decision for a tripod.

Lobas, great tripods, light and sturdy for the weight, I would recommend these tripods and this company to anyone, if ever I want another tripod I will use them again!
