This is really driving me nuts now.

I'm using soundslides to produce a slideshow to then host on the web. Nothing groundbreaking here and I've used this software and my mobile me space to host before without any problem.

Like here.... http://homepage.mac.com/lightfall.uk/utah/

So far so good, but I've tried to upload another show today and it's behaving very oddly. The first time I link through to play it, all is well and it loads and plays as it should. Every time after that initial click, it starts to download the index.html file as an application.

The new one is here.... http://homepage.mac.com/lightfall.uk/road/

can anyone help, pretty pretty please. :dummy:

Ok, now if I add the index.html to the end of that address it plays on my machine. I'm sure it didn't about ten minutes ago.

M head hurts. :'(

Why should this work with/need the index.html for one slideshow and not another that's just the same???????

Sometimes I really don't like technology but never as much as it doesn't like me.

Nope, that doesn't actually work, except when it does.

Clever people...... save my sanity please.

What format is the slideshow exported as?

Soundslides creates a folder to upload. It contains the MP3 file, a folder of the jpegs, the index and 3 files called soundslider. One a .txt, one a .xml and the last the .swf.

I've just been playing around with uploading to mobile me via the file explorer window rather than the upload tool on the web page.

Optimism over experience eh.

No Chaz, it's not.

Good point on the credits, I hadn't thought to split out the images and the music. Not sure I have the will left to try and update it again today but that does need sorting.
