Hosting?

You install Wordpress yourself - easy to do. What you need is support for PHP and MySQL.

I'd be interested in knowing some good hosting options myself. I'm familiar with using dedicated servers only...would be good to know what the cheaper options offer as I've never really used them.

Only thing I can find is hostgator but they are not that cheap, just wondered what people use,

I use www.serverforce.net for my carbonangel.co.uk domain,

English located servers, good service and very fast, not the cheapest but i wouldn't skimp when it comes to good hosting services

I can recommend www.xilo.net. They have a very easy to use back office panel, where you can install Wordpress in 3 clicks. As well as other popular software (e-shop etc).
You just specify the name and location of your blog (blog.xxx.com or xxx.com/blog) and presto :)

I can help you.
You would get a proper back end with cPanel.
PM me for details, and tell me what sort of hosting requirements you would want.

I was with ezpzhosting.co.uk for around a year before i left and never had downtime what's so ever. 3GB Web space & 30GB bandwidth for £2.99 a month with free domain ideal for a wordpress blog.

If your wondering why i left they couldn't offer me what i wanted to start my own web hosting for a good price so i moved. But i recommend them to all.

Ps i can also offer hosting like the guy above :P

I use TSOhost, I heard about them on this forum and they're highly regarded here. I've been with them about 3 years now and they're certainly living up to the hype.

I started using www.vidahost.com (affiliate link) in the last 12 months and don't know why I had used them for years. Excellent - really excellent customer support. Depending what you are after size wise, the packages start at £17 p.a.
