Hot Pixels on Sony A700 or other cameras

I took some long exposure night photography with my Lee Big Stopper on and when coming to edit them I have notice on one photo there is about 20-25 white pixels which I have been informed that these are hot pixels.

Are these normal for the Sony A700 to have? If it faulty? My camera is still under warranty atm.

Long exposures usually show up hot pixels. Happens on any camera.

Most cameras have a "long exposure noise reduction" to counteract this, which you should turn on.

Don't confuse it with normal NR, long exposure NR is where the camera takes a second frame without opening the shutter (i.e, just a black frame + any hot pixels) then subtracts this frame from your shot. Doesn't soften details like normal NR, just gets rid of hot pixels.
