Does any of the ball heads come with a bubble level?

The 486RC2 which I own does not :(

How about a hot shoe bubble level?

Saw a few on eBay but got confused which one to buy. :puke:

Any suggestions/advice?

Depending on the type of photography you do, a grid screen in the viewfinder can be more convenient for lining up horizontals and perpendiculars. I prefer it for general purpose stuff. I can see the use for a bubble level with close-up work or specialized architectural photography, though. But bubble levels are only useful on tripod, of course. Grid screens are also an aid with handheld shooting.

If you have a bubble on the head.. then your camera can still be at any other level because of the ball.

A bubble on the camera is the only answer surely.

Depends where on the head the bubble is, if its after the ball its fine :p

I'm after a hotshoe spirit level also but refuse to pay around £15+ on one at the minute
