first attempt at taking band photos tonight(Hothouse Flowers)open air.Not the best, but large crops (very noisey)as i couldnt get near the stage.Still alot to learn but trying

I think you did very well, given the difficulties that concerts present. Getting over varying shades of poor light, people getting in the way and the people on stage moving erratically is hard enough. I prefer #3 which gives a better feel to the band.

Thanks for the reply,was at the back of a crowd.Everytime I lifted the camera up some-one in front decided to move their head or put arms in the air.Still enjoyed myself,lets me see how good the pros are compared to mine,something to aim for

I agree with above ... its definately not easy, especially from the back ... so none too shoddy!

They finished with a 10 min version of dont go. Play myself and was very impressed with the group. excellent musicians. Would have been nice to have been closer, maybe next time.
